IFIP President Anthony Wong has congratulated Professor Thais Vasconcelos Batista on being elected President of the Brazilian Computer Society (SBC) on 10th August 2023. She will be supported by Professor Cristiano Maciel as the new Vice-President.

The former President, Raimundo José de Araújo Macêdo, will continue to serve as the Brazilian Representative until the conclusion of the task force on climate change. He expressed his sincere gratitude to his IFIP colleagues for the productive collaboration that has taken place between IFIP and SBC during his presidency.
