Italy’s AICA Elects New President and National Representative

AICA has appointed Antonio Piva as its new President. 

A computer engineer, entrepreneur, consultant in Quality, Security and Privacy sectors, university lecturer and Member of the Italian Council of Engineers, Piva has played several key roles since joining the Association back in 1999.

Among his aims is “the commitment to strengthen relations with the ICDL Foundation, with which AICA has been spreading ICDL certifications for the digital citizen in Italy” for 25 years.

Paolo Ciancarini Appointed to Represent Italy at IFIP

The AICA has also appointed Professor Paolo Ciancarini as the new National Representative for Italy.

Professor Ciancarini is a senior member of IFIP and has played an active role in TC14 for many years. He is currently organising the 22nd IFIP International Conference on Entertainment Computing, to be held from 15-17 November 2023 in Bologna.
