IFIP congratulates Jacques Carette of McMaster University, Canada, on his appointment as chair of TC2 (Software: Theory and Practice). The current chair of WG 2.11, Jacques has been involved with IFIP for over 12 years. He first attended a meeting of WG 2.11 as a guest in April 2009 and has been an active member since 2011. He has chaired the group since May 2019.
He is ably supported by Vice-Chair Peter Höfner of ANU, Australia, who also Chairs WG 2.1.
