IFIP Working Group 2.6 Database has been busy in recent months, undertaking research and planning an event.
The group’s chair, chaired by Robert Wrembel said they’ve been exploring research challenges related to big data and artificial intelligence, with a recent focus being the development of novel data integration architectures.
Their work has resulted in a paper, entitled: “moduli: A Disaggregated Data Management Architecture for Data-Intensive Workflows”, which was recently published in the ACM sigWeb newsletter.
In addition, some WG 2.6 members are organising a workshop, entitled: “Big Data in Emergent Distributed Environments (BiDEDE 2024)”, associated with the SIGMOD conference. The deadline for paper submissions is open until March 17, 2024 and submissions from IFIP are more than welcome!
