The International Professional Practice Partnership (IP3), IFIP’s professionalism arm, will present at a strategic, invitation-only Ministers Forum in Sydney, Australia at the end of November, one of a series of events being held to coincide with the Australian Computer Society’s Reimagination Thought Leaders Summit on 1 December 2016.
During the Minister’s Forum, IP3 will present a session entitled, “Does the Internet of Things, Algorithms and Artificial Intelligence of Everything Promise Utopia?”, which will include a panel discussion around the topic: “If we are to succeed in making sure society is not led astray by the technology we seek to use, then we must begin and continue the conversation which identifies the problems, seeks acceptable solutions and provides for the eco–system and infrastructure to deliver on them”.
The IP3 Board and planning meetings are also being held that week, including the Annual General Meeting on Monday 28th November, followed by a site tour of the Data Arena and interesting innovations at the University of Technology, Sydney on 29 November.
