On behalf of IFIP President Anthony Wong and the broader IFIP community, General Secretary, Anatolii Marushchak presented a trophy to Mike Hinchey in recognition of his services as IFIP President from 2016 – 2022.
Professor Hinchey served in various leadership roles within IFIP for more than two decades.
The meeting on Sunday 3rd March 2024 coincided with Professor Hinchey’s participation in an IEEE event in Vienna, Austria. He has served on the IEEE Computer Society Board of Governors since 2022, is the IEEE Region 8 Director-Elect and has been Chair of the IEEE UK & Ireland Section and President of the Irish Computer Society.
The IFIP community looks forward to continuing cooperation with Professor Hinchey in his new roles in international organisations and beyond.
