Members of IFIP Working Group 9.10, which focuses on ICT Uses in Peace and War, will gather in Dayton Ohio later this week to discuss emerging issues and to plan activities and initiatives for the year.
The meeting has been timed to coincide with the ICCWS (International Conference on Cyber Warfare and Terrorism http://www.academic-conferences.org/conferences/iccws/) 2017.
WG9.10 Chair Louise Leenen said the discussion will focus on the critical shortage of skilled cybersecurity practitioners across the globe and seek to identify measures to improve collaboration in the development of cybersecurity qualifications and curricula.
“We welcome new members or anyone with an interest in this topic to attend,” said Ms Leenen, recognising the latest addition to the group, Bhupindar Singh from India.
Anyone interested in attending the Dayton meeting can visit the group’s website at http://ifiptc9.csir.co.za/WG10/index.html for more information.
