Regional Event to be Held in Partnership with NITC and IFIP General Assembly
The Computer Society of Sri Lanka (CSSL) has won approval to host the 2017 SEARCC Regional Conference and IFIP General Assembly in conjunction with its National IT Conference (NITC).
The events, to be held in Colombo in September 2017, will attract representatives from around 40 different countries to engage in discussions and attend keynote presentations from global experts.
CSSL President, Yasas Abeywickrama, said the society will use the opportunity to leverage the knowledge and expertise of foreign delegates to speak at the conference, resulting in significant knowledge transfer to the local industry and its ICT professionals.
“This will create a unique blend of National, Regional and International experience that will be of enormous benefit to ICT professionals seeking to expand their knowledge and skills,” he said. “It will be the most significant event on the Sri Lankan ICT calendar in 2017 and an attractive platform for speakers, delegates and sponsors looking to raise their profile both locally and internationally.
