IFIP Technical Committee 3 (Education) invites you to participate in the IFIP TC3 Conference OCCE 2021 DTEL, “Digital Transformation of Education and Learning – Past, Present and Future” from 17-20 August 2021.

The conference will reflect on the continuous development and future outlook of ICT and education. It also celebrates six decades of IFIP and five decades of the IFIP TC3 Working Group (WG) 3.4 for Professional, Higher and Vocational Education in ICT.

OCCE2021 DTEL aims to provide an international forum where a community of professionals from academia, industry, and educational and public sectors can come together to share research findings and practical experiences. We particularly wish to encourage participation from middle- and low-income countries. Funds available to support online participation will be detailed on the OCCE 2021website.

IFIP TC3 OCCE 2021 DTEL is a hybrid conference, taking place in Tampere, Finland, with various arrangements in place to ensure a safe and productive event. Recognising the uncertainty from the nature of the pandemic and its impacts, we are constantly monitoring the situation. If you cannot attend OCCE2021 in person due to circumstances, such as your employer’s policy not allowing you to travel, Government-imposed travel restrictions to come to Finland, or Government policy requiring you to subject to quarantines, we will waive the in-person presentation requirement, and you can present your paper virtually through the Howspace digital facilitation platform (www.howspace.com).

TC3 is proud to announce the second keynote speaker – Minna Huotilainen, Professor of Educational Sciences at the University of Helsinki, Finland. The use of technology is affecting the way that we encounter information, learn, develop ideas, and interact. Minna’s keynote will address a combined view of learning and well-being – well-learning. This will be drafted on the basis of recent knowledge on how choices made in planning education can affect the way that pupils and students can learn. It is multimethodological, combining understanding from neuroscience and learning sciences.

We look forward to meeting you either online or onsite at Tampere University in August 2021!
