The Computer Society of Sri Lanka (CSSL) celebrated the 40th Anniversary of its National Information Technology Conference (NITC) on 12-13 October 2022 in Colombo.

With the theme of “Digitally Enriching Lives”, NITC 2022 was a multifaceted event featuring the NITC Conference, CSSL Awards, CSSL Colloquium and Sri Lanka Digital Investment Summit. The conference featured eight content tracks and delegates had the opportunity to gain valuable insights from 28 local and international experts including the Guest of Honour, Michael Appleton, the New Zealand Ambassador to Sri Lanka and Maldives.

The 2022 Conference explored eight topics that are vital to the contemporary IT industry, moderated by seven Session Chairs and 21 speakers. The Inaugural Digital Investment Summit achieved its objectives with eight promising digital companies, including five with unicorn potential pitching for investments. 

The CSSL National ICT Awards recognised the cream of ICT professionals, academia and future ICT professionals while the CSSL Colloquium saw eight authors present their papers.

The Digital Investment Summit was a new event which seeks to support the development of digital entrepreneurs within Sri Lanka. The inaugural summit was graced by Chief Guest, Professor Malik Ranasinghe, Chairman of ICTA and Digital Investment Summit Guest of Honour, Stephen Ibaraki, President REDSS Capital, IP3 Board Member and Chairman of the UN AI for Good Global Summit, who delivered the Keynote Speech.
