The 18th IFIP WG8.1 Working Conference on the Practice of Enterprise Modeling – PoEM 2025 –will take place in Geneva, Switzerland, from 3-5 December 2025, hosted by the University of Geneva.
The PoEM working conference aims to improve the understanding of the practice of Enterprise Modeling (EM) by offering a forum for sharing experiences and knowledge between the academic community and practitioners from industry and the public sector.
The theme of PoEM 2025 is Enterprise Modeling for Sustainable Reindustrialization. The theme reflects the importance of Enterprise Modeling methods, techniques and tools to enable enterprises to support the reindustrialisation of society through the integration of advanced technologies such as digital twins, robotics, artificial intelligence and cyber-physical systems in a sustainable manner. The field of Enterprise Modeling should seek to support these challenges by providing methods and tools, as well as investigating and reporting on the current state-of-research and state-of-practice.
In addition to the main research track, PoEM 2025 will feature several related events: a forum for emerging ideas and research in progress, a doctoral consortium, a forum for business case and tool presentations, and related workshops.
