Time is running out to nominate an outstanding individual or organisation for the 2026 David O’Leary Award, with nominations closing on 15 August 2026.

Presented by IFIP IP3, the award recognises exceptional leadership in advancing professionalism, championing ethical practice and fostering diversity across the ICT profession.

The award honours individuals and organisations that demonstrate a strong commitment to professional practice, including continuous professional development, accountability, trustworthiness and service to the profession and broader community. It also recognises those who actively promote ethical practice and work to advance gender, racial and digital equity.

The recipient will receive a cash prize of US$1,500, together with travel support of up to US$1,500 to attend IFIP’s General Assembly, where the award will be presented.

Nominations may be submitted by anyone for either an individual or an organisation, provided the nominee has agreed to be nominated. Entries will be assessed by a panel comprising members of the IFIP IP3 Global Industry Council and the IFIP Board.

Further information, including the nomination form, eligibility criteria and previous recipients, is available on the IFIP IP3 website. Completed nominations, together with supporting documentation, should be submitted to ip3awards@gmail.com before 15 August 2026.
