IFIP President Mike Hinchey met with the Executive Committee of the South East Asian Regional Computer Confederation (SEARCC) while visiting Sydney to participate in the ACS 50th Anniversary celebrations.
The SEARCC Exco meeting brought together representatives from Australia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and Sri Lanka, gathering in Sydney to plan their agenda and key strategies for 2017.
Joining the meeting for an afternoon session, Mr Hinchey discussed the importance of IFIP having strong relationships with regional bodies like SEARCC in promoting messages around ICT professionalism and providing better access to those areas.
“I’m delighted to have had the opportunity to personally meet with the SEARCC Exco and discuss ways in which we can work together to achieve our mutual goals,” he said.
