The IFIP World Conference on Computers in Education (WCCE) 2026 will take place in the Kruger National Park, South Africa, from 19-22 October 2026. The conference’s theme, ‘Learnnected: Empowering Education in a Connected World’, promises to make this an outstanding event where expertise can be shared, global discussions can be shaped and cutting-edge conversations in the field can be hosted.
IFIP Technical Committee 3 (Education), together with all its Working Groups, is happy to announce that a Doctoral Consortium will be held during this Conference. Doctoral students from all fields of education involving digital technologies are warmly invited to participate in attending IFIP TC3 WCCE 2026.
The Doctoral Consortium will be led by Professor Javier Osorio, a professor at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain. He has worked as an organisational advisor for private and governmental bodies and his research has focused on information systems management, strategic planning and innovation in organisations. The Doctoral Consortium will feature additional senior academic advisers with extensive experience and international recognition in research in the field.

Professor Osorio said, “The IFIP TC3 Doctoral Consortium WCCE 2026 is a forum for PhD students working on topics related to education and digital and information technologies to discuss their research goals, methods and results at an early stage of their research. It aims to provide useful guidance about the completion of doctoral research and the initiation of research careers in a friendly and constructive atmosphere. The Doctoral Consortium provides an opportunity for student participants to interact with senior researchers in the field.”
The IFIP TC3 Doctoral Consortium WCCE 2026 is a free event. As an IFIP TC3 activity, participants can also take advantage of the opportunity to become a corresponding member of an IFIP TC3 Working Group (WG), which is a first step towards full membership.
Further details about this event can be found on the WCCE 2026 website.
