IFIP is now more able to engage with its member associations and groups to help promote ICT policy and industry professionalism globally after expanding its social media presence.

IFIP is now active on the three major social media platforms – Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter – and publishes articles and the monthly IFIP Insights online newsletter on its blog page http://ifipnews.org.

We also have a dedicated YouTube Channel, where you can find various videos produced by IFIP, as well as playlists with curated content from member societies’ YouTube channels.

IFIP’s marketing consultants, Quantum Values, regularly produce content for these forums and social media channels. The aim is to keep members, stakeholders and the wider community up to date about IFIP’s many activities, help promote major conferences run by IFIP and also highlight the work of IFIP and its members through the TCs, WGs, IP3, YIT and through various initiatives to promote professionalism and drive progress towards the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.

Typical activities include:

  • Creating a video to share IFIP’s vision and key activities;
  • Sharing videos from CIPS (Canada’s Association of I.T. Professionals), BCS (the Chartered Institute for ICT) and AI XPRIZE on the IFIP YouTube Channel and other social media platforms;
  • Sharing news from the Computer Society of Sri Lanka, Irish Computer Society and INRIA’s 50th birthday event on Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter
  • Writing and distributing media releases about WITFOR, WCC and IFIP’s activities at WSIS, ITU and UN events, and more

We invite you to contact the Quantum Values team to schedule a meeting and discuss how IFIP can help you promote your involvement and influence on global ICT policy and industry development.
