Submissions are now invited for the 9th IFIP International Internet of Things Conference 2026, to be held 12–14 November 2026 in Dubai, UAE in a hybrid format.

As IFIP’s flagship conference on the Internet of Things, IFIP IoT 2026 brings together researchers, practitioners and industry leaders to explore the latest innovations, challenges and future directions in IoT. The conference spans the full lifecycle of IoT systems, from design and development to deployment and real-world applications, while also addressing security, AI integration and broader societal and industrial perspectives.

Contributions are invited across three main streams:

IoT Systems, Networks and Applications
Topics include scalable and distributed IoT systems, 5G and 6G-enabled IoT, edge and fog computing, and software-defined networking. Application domains span smart cities, transportation, wearables and digital health, as well as digital twins, predictive maintenance and real-time analytics, including emerging integration with metaverse environments.

IoT Security and Privacy
This stream covers lightweight cryptography, hardware-based trust, blockchain-enabled security, and privacy-preserving data processing. It also includes intrusion detection, risk assessment, identity and access management, AI-driven security, and emerging approaches such as post-quantum and zero-trust architectures, along with secure firmware and over-the-air updates.

AI for IoT (AIoT)
Topics include TinyML and on-device intelligence, federated and distributed learning, and explainable AI for edge systems. Contributions may also address deep learning for signal processing, reinforcement learning for optimisation, anomaly detection, predictive analytics, generative AI, and vision-based or neuromorphic computing.

Submission and Publication

Full papers (10–18 pages, Springer format) are invited. Submissions must be original and will undergo rigorous peer review, including similarity and AI-content checks. Authors are required to disclose any use of AI-generated content.

Accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings.
