The organising committee of the 9th IFIP International Conference on Internet of Things (IFIP-IoT 2026) has announced the official Call for Papers for this flagship IFIP event. IFIP-IoT 2026 will be held 11–13 November 2026 in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates, with hybrid participation options available for attendees around the world.
As the Internet of Things continues to reshape industries, societies and everyday life, IFIP-IoT 2026 aims to bring together researchers, practitioners, industry leaders and policymakers to discuss emerging advances, challenges, and future directions in IoT. The conference will provide an international forum for presenting innovative research and fostering collaborations across academia and industry.
The technical program is organised around three major tracks:
- IoT Systems, Networks and Applications, covering topics such as scalable IoT architectures, edge and fog computing, digital twins, smart cities, transportation systems and next-generation connectivity technologies.
- IoT Security and Privacy, focusing on areas including lightweight cryptography, blockchain-enabled security, privacy-preserving technologies, intrusion detection, post-quantum security and zero-trust architectures.
- AI for IoT (AIoT), highlighting advances in TinyML, federated learning, explainable AI, predictive analytics, generative AI, neuromorphic computing and intelligent edge systems.
A major highlight of IFIP-IoT 2026 will be its distinguished keynote program featuring internationally recognized experts from academia and industry. Confirmed keynote speakers include Professor Keith Ross (NYU Abu Dhabi, UAE), Professor Pietro Manzoni (Polytechnic University of Valencia, Spain), Professor Omer F. Rana (Cardiff University, UK) and Professor Mohamed-Slim Alouini (King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, Saudi Arabia). The conference will also feature invited talks from leading researchers and industry innovators, providing participants with insights into emerging trends and future directions in IoT, AIoT, communications and intelligent systems.
Researchers are invited to submit full papers (10–18 pages, Springer format) by 15 August 2026, with notifications scheduled for 1 September 2026. All accepted and presented papers will be published in the Springer IFIP AICT Series, indexed by Scopus.
