Congratulations to Kai Rannenberg (pictured) on being elected IFIP President-elect at the recent General Assembly (GA) hosted by the Portuguese Order of Engineers (an IFIP Member Society) in Lisbon.

Congratulations also to Joice Benza on being elected Vice-President while Francis Baud is the new IFIP Honorary Secretary-elect. Alastair Irons and Moira de Roche were both nominated and then endorsed by the GA as Councillors.

In the wake of Jacques Sakarovitch’s retirement as IFIP Vice-President directly after the GA, the IFIP Executive Committee will appoint one of the IFIP Councillors as Acting Vice-President up to the end of the following GA. An election for Vice-President will take place at the GA 2025.

The IFIP elections were conducted in

line with the IFIP Statutes and Bylaws.
