IFIP is pleased to congratulate Audrey Azouley on her re-election last week as Director-General of UNESCO. Ms Azoulay has been re-elected for an additional four years by UNESCO’s 193 member states after working tirelessly in her first term to rebuild confidence in the organisation.

The President of the 41st session of UNESCO’s General Conference, Ambassador H.E. Santiago Irazabal Mourão, said he was very honoured to chair the installation ceremony of Ms Azoulay’s second term of office, where member states praised her leadership and laid down their wishes for a very successful four years ahead.

IFIP was established under the auspices of UNESCO back in 1960 and continues to maintain a consultative relationship.
