Germany’s Society for Computer Science (GI) has elected its new leadership team for the next two years, choosing IFIP stalwart, Professor Dr. Michael Goedicke as Vice President.

Professor Goedicke, who is Vice Chair of IFIP TC 2 (Software: Theory and Practice), will support GI’s new President, Professor Dr. Hannes Federrath from the University of Hamburg. Other office bearers include Christine Regitz, SAP SE and Alexander von Gernler (genua GmbH).

IFIP President, Mike Hinchey, was quick to welcome Professor Goedicke’s election and said he looks forward to working with him in his new role.

“I’m delighted to congratulate Michael on being recognised in this way and believe his election will bring GI and IFIP closer together,” he said.

Also elected to the GI leadership team were:

  • Diploma-Inform. Anja Schaar-Goldapp, Lineas GmbH,
  • Dr. rer.nat Ingo Scholtes, ETH Zurich and
  • Prof. Dr.-Ing. Martin R. Wolf, IT Organization & Management (ITOM) – Aachen University of Applied Sciences.
