CSSL President, Yasas V. Abeywickrama, and his executive council who ran last year’s successful NITC Conference and IFIP General Assembly in Colombo have been re-elected for another year at the Computer Society of Sri Lanka’s AGM this month.
More than 50 countries were represented at the historic event, which was the biggest international ICT event ever held in Sri Lanka.
Also this year, CSSL played an active role in combating dengue fever by partnering with Nantang University Singapore, Skoll Global, Colombo Municipal Council and University of Colombo School of Computing to develop a digital solution to manage the environment and all relevant aspects more effectively.
At the AGM, Mr Abeywickrama thanked his broad membership for re-electing him and the executive council, pledging to expand their work in 2018. He stressed the importance of younger ICT professionals joining the professional body and said he will take the lead in implementing strategies to achieve this.
