The Computer Society of Sri Lanka (CSSL) has been inducted into the Seoul Accord as a Provisional Member at the recent Seoul Accord Meeting in Cambridge, UK.

CSSL President, Yasas Abeywickrama said it was an historic achievement for the society, IT higher education and Sri Lanka at large.

“Through the hard work of many individuals over the last few years in laying the foundation for degree accreditation, we have now been inducted into the global standard for computing education. This opens a new chapter in having Sri Lankan computing degrees become accredited at the global standard by CSSL, a prestigious and important phase in shaping the higher education sector in Sri Lanka over the coming few years,” he said.

The achievement builds on CSSL’s recent work in establishing its Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct to strengthen its professional framework for Sri Lanka’s developing ICT sector.
