CSSL (Computer Society of Sri Lanka) collaborated with the prestigious regional awards as one of the regional supporting organisations of the Asia Smart App Awards (ASA) 2022/23.  CSSL immediate past president Damith Hettihewa represented CSSL at the awards ceremony held on 29th June 2023 at Cyberport in Hong Kong.

Asia Smart App Awards (ASA) is annually organized by Hong Kong Wireless Technology Industry Association (WTIA). ASA 2022/23 brought together experts and leaders from the fields of smart applications, creativity, and information technology in Hong Kong and 16 Asian countries and regions, to celebrate shared triumphs in innovation.

The Computer Society of Sri Lanka (CSSL), which was established in 1976, is the apex body representing Information and Communications Technology (ICT) professionals in Sri Lanka. The CSSL is a member of the South East Asia Regional Computer Confederation (SEARCC) and the International Federation for Information Processing (IFIP). CSSL is a provisional signatory of the Seoul Accord. CSSL became the first ICT professional body in South Asia to achieve the world renowned International Professional Practice Partnership (IP3) Accreditation. IP3 is a global partnership to uplift and benchmark professionalism in the ICT profession.
