CIPS, Canada’s Association of IT Professionals, in partnership with SkillsTX recently launched its new SFIA-based IT Skills Assessment and Career Planning tool member benefit.
CIPS Members can now assess their current IT skills and discover what SFIA (Skills Framework for the Information Age) level their skills are at. SFIA is a technical competency and skills framework that provides a method of mapping an individual’s professional skills to a set of internationally relevant standard definitions.
After assessing their skills, CIPS Members can set career goals and compare their current skills to the skills required to progress in their career. They can then create an action plan to take courses to develop the required targeted skills to reach their career goals.
As part of the launch, CIPS held a live Tutorial and Q & A for this amazing new member benefit.
