The 38th Brazilian Computing Society Conference – CSBC 2018 – brings together Brazilian community of researchers, students and professionals to discuss #Computing and Sustainability.

Promoting sustainability is the first and foremost step to create and maintain the conditions for us to live harmoniously with our environment. In terms of technology, the computer science applied to promote sustainability emerges as an interdisciplinary field, where computational techniques are used to create sustainable development as well as balance environmental, business and social needs.

The CSBC 2018 takes place in Natal-RN between July 22 and 26. Thus, the discussion on computing for sustainability happens in one of the most beautiful cities that has the cleanest air in the Americas and the second largest urban forest park in the country.

The CSBC 2018 program includes the works of scientists, lectures courses and debates on subjects related to the use of computing in favor of sustainability.
