The 88th meeting of IFIP WG 10.4 took place on the island of Ischia, Italy, from 26 to 29 June, following the Dependable Systems and Networks (DSN) 2025 conference, the flagship event of the WG 10.4 community.
Held twice each year, these meetings bring members and guests together to exchange ideas, review ongoing projects, and plan future activities. The latest gathering focused on the cybersecurity of transportation systems – a topic of growing importance as software continues to underpin critical transport infrastructure.
Across two days of discussions, participants explored the current state of cybersecurity in the automotive, railway, and avionics sectors, sharing insights into both technical and socio-technical challenges, including the vital role of humans in the loop.
IFIP extends its thanks to meeting organisers Domenico Cotroneo and Luigi Romano from the University of Naples, and workshop coordinators Andrea Ceccarelli (University of Florence), Wilfried Steiner (TTTech), and Marcus Volp (University of Luxembourg), along with invited speakers from NXP, TTTech Auto, Resiltech, Airbus, Collins Aerospace, NCC, the University of Luxembourg, and the Hasso-Plattner-Institut für Digital Engineering for their valuable contributions.
