Andy Chen, President & CEO of Catatronic Enterprise, has been confirmed as the newest Director of IFIP/IP3’s Global Industry Council (GIC), a unique, industry-focused body that offers a forum within which ICT employers and educators can engage with IP3 and influence the development of the global profession.

With a mission to establish global partnerships that strengthen the ICT profession and contribute to the development of strong international economies, IP3 was recognised at this year’s WSIS Forum with WSIS Champion Award for its GIC initiative.

GIC Directors are specially nominated and invited to serve within the UN-rooted body as internationally recognized luminary executives, thought leaders and visionaries who typically have a strong history of providing substantive contributions to global business, industry, society, education and/or government.

An Enterprise Architecture consultant with extensive expertise in the energy sector, Andy presented at the IFIP World CIO Forum in 2014 and then again at the World Computer Congress in South Korea last year. He is an active member of the IEEE Computer Society, where he holds various prominent positions, sits on the Board of the Federation of Enterprise Architecture Professional Organizations (FEAPO) and serves as adviser to several leading global consulting firms and enterprise software vendors.
