IFIP President-elect Mike Hinchey and InterYIT Chair, Yasas Abeywickrama, flew the IFIP flag at the 8th China Cloud Computing Conference in Beijing earlier this month.
Mr Hinchey presented a keynote address on the topic, “Is There Anything That Is Not Software?”, while Mr Abeywickrama discussed, “The Role of Youth in the International ICT Sector in an Innovative and Entrepreneurial Journey”.
Mr Abeywickrama talked about the impact young ICT professionals are having around the world in driving disruption, thinking outside the box and challenging traditional norms. He highlighted the way InterYIT is building bridges between Young IT groups around the world, referencing a new relationship with the Nigerian Computer Society, and encouraged delegates to listen carefully to the ideas of young professionals as they represent the future.
